Dripping Springs high school product Daniel Minor is playing with an Independent League team the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The PBD product was a member of one of the early PBD select teams called the Texas Ridgebacks. After two successful years at McLenan junior college, Minor went on the an outstanding junior year at Texas A&M Corpus Christi where he was one of the top 10 division pitchers in the country. After the one year stint in Corpus, Daniel was selected by the Houston Astros in the 9th round of MLB's amateur draft. To date, that was the highest draft pick in TAM CC history.
